It should be something new to me, though I don't feel like listing all the vegan snacks that I'm familiar with so Joe will have to make an educated guess.

Ooh, a challenge, I like that!

I recommend frozen, cut up bananas with soy ice cream, drizzled with a fruity syrup (made from 50% fruit juice and 50% agave nectar).

My second recommendation would be soy-based ice cream sandwiches. No preparation time, and they're awesome.

I haven't tried too many soy products.  I think soy milk is the only thing I had.  It was definitely different tasting, but I didn't think it was gross or anything.

Joe, you fail.

First of all, eating animals that died by natural causes is not vegan. It takes away a meal from an animal predator that would appreciate it. Second of all, don't post a picture of a dead cow in my forum.

Have you HAD soy-based ice cream?

Nobody in my family could tell it apart from regular ice cream. The only difference I notice is that it melts faster.

Try it before you complain about it.

My mom decided to become a vegan about a month ago after visiting PETA (the headquarters is in my city) while my sister was doing research for a school project. I told her I'd have to trade my Explorer in for a Suburban just to offset her newfound liberalness. She did not find this humorous.

?

Their practices are questionable. The main one I have a problem with is handing out bloody McDonalds toys to children at McDonalds restaurants. Not only is it horrible to children, it's also just poor business relations even if McDonalds represents something they don't approve of. Secondly, they built their multi-million dollar headquarters right on the marsh (they built bulkheads instead of leaving it natural) destroying the habitat of many crabs, fish, etc.

People for Ethical Treatment of Animals, but they aren't very ethical, what with their disposition to blowing things up.

Nono, it's Pamela for Ethical Treatment of Animals!

And yeah, some of their techniques are questionable. I may be vegan, but I don't want to be associated with that group.

And you didn't punch her?  WTF man, WTF.  (Don't punch your mom).

Every time my mom says something with the slightest hint of "that's a girl's job" or something about a dude being a gentleman-y I say "oh, like it's Chelsea's job to do the dishes cause she's a girl?"  (Chelsea = my sister).  I laugh real hard, so does my dad and my sister.  hahahaha
