In the crowd I hang around with, people are usually called by a forum handle, mostly because everybody meets on the forums, gets together for a tournament, and introduces themselves as their handle.  Last time I tried to introduce myself as "Spencer" people were confused, and then I told them I was "rabbit" and everyone knew who I was.  Even some of my friends I call by their handles....

ROFL @ warz. Where do you get your hair cut at?

It's sort of middle-ground for me. Slinky sometimes called me Joe in a joking tone and it was pretty funny. Not a turn on, but not a turn off.
