Moving Avatars this Weekend
« on: February 25, 2005, 03:00:44 am »
Hello --

I will be given administrative privileges on the forums for the weekend to change the avatars settings.  During that time I will be uploading your avatars to the forums so that they can be stored on the secure server.  I've been having issues with IE constantly asking if I want to display the "insecure items."

And before you tell me to switch, I can't at work, so I might as well do something that will help me universally.
I have a programming folder, and I have nothing of value there

Running with Code has a new home!

Our species really annoys me.

Communist. ;)

Thanks for doing this, btw. Saves the other lazy admins from having to do it. =P

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

What if we want to change our avatar? (question asked for those who don't have ssh access)

I think you can upload your avatars automatically under the new system.

I still like my solution better, though: tell FireFox not to display images that aren't originating from this page :P

That would work if I could use FireFox on the school and work computers.

Unless you have absolutely no write access, you can.  Just download the .zip from Mozilla's ftp (ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub), extract it anywhere, and run it.

We're gonna have to fix up [img] tags then.

I don't think they will like that very much, iago. What have we told you about screwing things?

Sex before maridge == bad.
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

You might be right about that, Joe.

I like links much better than lynx.  It can do frames and it gets layouts much more correct.

It is good to be good, but it is better to be lucky.
