I brought in the new year with...
« on: January 01, 2009, 03:58:29 am »
Format: <something that you brought in the new year with>

... several blunts, a lot of beer and liquor and shampayne. (shampayne is like, kind of like the thing it rhymes with, but it's centrifused with extra carbonation and then left to hypo-distill so the glyceme levels don't quagulate.)

Sleep

Just recently I was diagnosed with anemia, which means I have an Iron deficiency in my blood, which could be caused by internal bleeding, which in turn makes me very tired :(

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

Because they said so. But it really wasn't that bad. I only work till 4, and I was alone and got to relax and do my work without people bugging me. Plus its time and a half. So not nearly as bad as I thought it would be.

Heh, we did much the same thing -- we were playing Smash Bros, and at about 12:02, somebody said, "btw, it's 2009" and we all said "yay". True story.

Tripped on mushrooms, drank some tequila, smoked weed, chilled with my girl.

...hennessy.

Regular Hennessy V.S. or V.S.O.P? Because V.S. isn't really that good, imo. V.S.O.P. is some good cognac, though, and it's only about $15 or so more.

I don't like regular henn anymore.. I only fuck with priv. we had a few gallons of V.S.O.P. and only a small bottle of the regular that someone brought. There were lots of other drinks too, but I didn't touch those except for a few beers that were given to me. Priv is definitely worth the expense.

Montecristos are delicious. Montecristo and Cohiba are my favorite cigar brands. Delicious.

3 days? lol. That's kinda slow. I'll kill an 1/8th in a day easily, by myself. I've smoked 1/4oz's  by myself in a day. Though, I have not smoked weed in awhile.

Tripped on mushrooms, drank some tequila, smoked weed, chilled with my girl.

Cohibas are the only cigar around this area worth fucking with.. and I don't like cigars much at all. Most days when I come home, my neighbor is chillin on the porch enjoying one. Lucky bastard.

Just helps to chill with people who are willing to spend some money to have a good time, whatever that may mean.

I'd much prefer a fat dutch over a swisher. Swisher's are small. Plus Dutch's have the outer leaf and if you roll it right you rewrap the outer leave making a perfect blunt with a perfect taste. Cali just isn't up to speed, sorry.

I'd much prefer a fat dutch over a swisher. Swisher's are small. Plus Dutch's have the outer leaf and if you roll it right you rewrap the outer leave making a perfect blunt with a perfect taste. Cali just isn't up to speed, sorry.

Perfect blunts are overrated and for white people.

It's ok. You kind of lose that urge to put a lot of effort into smoking weed once you smoke enough weed. It's kind of a funny thing.

blunts aren't alot of effort..

You act as if you're the only one who uses different wraps.

I don't care what anyone else uses, that doesn't affect me. I'm just saying that, in my opinion, Dutch's are superior. If other people try them, they will probably agree. They are not harsh at all, the flavors I've had are all good tasting and smelling (outer leaf is flavored), they're a good size for a variety of weights, and one of the biggest saving graces of all is that if your inner leaf is cracked or something goes wrong, 95% of the time the outer leaf will seal and cover up any flaw the roller may have had and it comes out very nice. At $1.40, you can't beat it.

No I did. It took me where I needed to go at a certain point in my life and allowed me to realize several things about myself and the world, both good and bad. It's just gone as far as it can go for now, and I need to refocus myself on other things and new hobbies that I've taken up.

I'm not being sarcastic...
Where did you need to go in your life, and how did pot take you there?  Also, what did pot allow you to realize about yourself and the world?

Just curious.

Self-realization led to maturity. I've made several life changes and life-changing decisions lately. I feel no need to prove myself to you though.

Thanks. My decision to quit is in no way a reflection of my opinion of marijuana, I think it is a very useful and enlightening drug, when used for the right purposes (like what I used it for.) I was never the kind of person who wanted to smoke and then play video games and eat Twinkies. I talked about philosophy, nature, business, etc. It's led me to several ideas and realizations about the world, the type of person I am, the things I can do, etc. But it's a double edged sword, because it can slow down even the most motivated of people. No matter how good the ideas you come up with are, nor how confident you are in yourself or your abilities, you can't accomplish things if you're just sitting around talking about them.

I didn't mean to patronize who you used to be or whatever, by the way.  Honestly, I have very little problem with recreational use of Marijuana.  About the only meaningful reason I care to stay away from it is because it's in my best interest to have a "clean record".

That's not a real answer.  It's just a vague statement and then a defensive sentiment.

Here we go with the anti-marijuana guy. Still going to vaguely state how marijuana is an insidiously dangerous substance?

It just wasn't a real answer.  Someone making undisclosed life changing decisions within a proximity of smoking pot doesn't tell me anything about the substance.  It just says nothing.  It's not useful information.  I'm not even trying to make judgements on whether the side effects are good or bad -- that's always debatable -- but it would be nice to hear about how the drug has supposedly changed people.  Unfortunately, I know nothing more than I did before about pot.  And don't assume I haven't smoked it.

Also, I don't care if you smoke pot, c0n.  And I don't need to say anything about insidiously dangerous substances: you do it all for me, without even trying.

The thing is, your life isn't really affected if I tell you the life changes I've made or not. I don't even know why you care.

It isn't that important.  But you chose to make a comment about how pot had done all these remarkable things in your life.  So isn't "what?" a pretty natural question?  Forget it, since substantiating what you said seems to be such a trouble.  It's not that important to me.
