Seriously, there is fucking like thirteen people on yet like four new posts? This is the new tell us now, just a bit different.

Here's to promoting activity!

So tell us, what did you do today?
It is good to be good, but it is better to be lucky.

Sidoh

There has been a lot of activity in the politics board.  It's usually not very interesting discussion, but some of the stuff that's been going on in there recently hasn't been too bad.  I think that's mostly because a few people other than Crazed and Warrior have been contributing, though. ;P

I went to classes, went to a lab, met with my project group, came home and started on homework.  I'm still doing homework. :D

I'm designing an experiment to compare my local search approach to the asymmetric travelling salesman problem to my genetic algorithm approach.  I have a distributed testing script I whipped up in Perl, so I have a feeling I'll be making the department machines my bitch soon. >: )

Chavo

You have a loose definition of contributing :)

yeah, my definition of contributing is a lot like goatse.

What I did? Decided to get a group together in my lab course, despite being told we're not supposed to have partners. But really, how bad can us not diluting 3x more samples be? Then, I about yelled at my TA over having one cuvet for the entire lab section for the spectrophotometer. Labs should be about running experiments, not waiting in line to use equipment.

After that, just screwed around in Aspen. That program is magical.

Oh, had a blast in my applied math for physical chemistry course the other day. We're reviewing ODE's, and the method of integrating factor came up. He asked for a function, and I gave him dy/dx=sin(x)*y + 1/x. Hilarity ensued as he tried solving it. Really, who could have guessed what would have ended up happening?
errr... something like that...

Blaze

And like a fool I believed myself, and thought I was somebody else...

Basically, failed a midterm, chilled in a dorm for 4-5 hours and went to Sycuan to lol @ my friend being up 5000$, and lolling at him as he went back down to 4000$. Free buffet was cool.

don't we have a lets hear it thread? same concept?
and I stopped posting cause of all this political shit gets boring, and reading all the shit crazed and warrior have to say gets repetative.

*start thread*

Crazed: obama is killing the US

Warrior: where are your facts? * gives link*

Crazed: you just posted some Biased shit asshole *gives link*

Warrior: * more links*

Crazed: return argument

iago, sidoh, leet, muffin, blaze, towlie, newbie, rule, trust: chime in

Warrior : writes 600 words about why he supports obama that no one is going to read *more links*

/end thread cuase people ignore it

Sidoh

lol, that's not too far from accurate.

I very rarely chime in, and only did today because I didn't think the topics were ridiculously biased or contrived.  When I do, though, I try to move it away from the "I'm right and you're wrong *link*" bullshit.  In the pizza thread, for example, I started talking about why I couldn't morally justify shooting the guy.

Anyway, I kinda agree with Blaze.  I don't see the difference between this thread and Let's Hear It.  Whatever, though.  Not like it matters. :)

What did I do today? A lot of shit.

Went to work, there I worked on debugging realtime hydro model which is still having growing pains but is months ahead of schedule, yay me.
I also worked on the calibration method for this model working on a different basin. Doing so involves learning cluster computing and using the universities super computing resources, its a giant pain in the ass.
Then I ate lunch with my boss and another friend and then attended a meeting with the boss+a professor+some of his grad students, waaay fun, hah.
That was followed by going to the main part of campus for my one class of the day, on the way to class I stopped to help one of my fellow classmates with some linear algebra she was having trouble with.
Soo... I sat in class for awhile and looked at facebook/worked on matlab issues re: super computing while the professor rambled on about solving ODEs using numerical methods.
Class was followed by a quick dinner and Dynamics II homework. 7 problems took 5 hours, ugh :(
And now I am here, avoiding writing this statement of interest that I told a professor I would have for him tomorrow. Yuck!

I worked on a site we're launching for a client this week, then I went to give a presentation as the ASP.NET Users Group in Phoenix.

Yep.

I went to class, went back home, fell asleep for six hours, and played Left 4 Dead until... *checks* 2:45AM. Now to fall asleep and repeat! :)

Towelie

Yesterday I woke up at 5:15 to go on a camouflage utility run, ate breakfast, went to classes... got back, went to my field ball game, lifted, came back, got into our suit-like uniform, ate, sat through a mandatory brief that lasted until 8:30, came back and had more homework than I had time to do.

Today I woke up drank a glass of chocolate milk, showered, drove to work, and now am sitting in my mid-size cubicle typing this post. Epic morning.
