I was under the impression that, since this is a trojan, it uses IE unbeknownst to the user, thus meaning anyone who gets the trojan is vulnerable, not just IE users.

It exploits a known vulnerability in Microsoft's Internet Explorer (IE).

Yeah, it can get to anybody, but it's just easier with the IE users.

What I'm saying is that it probably uses the IE exploit to download th needed encrypter and other malicious files, which don't come in the original trojan. I'm assuming it doesn't download via an exploit in IE, which could be the case.

That would be an ie vulnerability.

Oh well, missed that part. Still probably possible to get if you use Firefox, just not with a vulnerability =/
