I can't talk about certain things I might like to thanks to NDA, but needless to say, Verizon is rolling out LTE at whatever rate they are doing that at! Hopefully they won't fall behind schedule (not saying they have...or that they haven't...), 'cause then Apple will probably renew the AT&T exclusivity contract.

Woo. Code I wrote exists within nortel's LTE related projects. If they ever put it use is unknown to me though.

Gah, I hope they do make a CDMA-based iPhone.  I'm stuck with Verizon for at least a year.  Lame.

That'd be lame, since I switched from Verizon to AT&T to get an iPhone. I have to say, Verizon's service is quite a bit better, but their phones suck. Especially the software on all their phones, it's just miserable. We'll see what happens, though. I'm not expecting it to come out very soon, or be a super awesome iPhone, mainly because Verizon has some shitty standards for their phones. Perhaps they'll prove me wrong, though!

If Verizon ever has one, it will almost certainly be LTE, and not CDMA; LTE is 4G (calls are made by tunneling through IP), where CDMA is 3G (IP is made by tunneling through calls).
