Duh, its out. Anyone else been playing it? I recently beat the campaign which was a bit disappointing, but the multiplayer is pretty awesome. I've been laddering a lot by myself with with some friends.

Yeah it does look like Raynor. If you look at old StarCraft concept art, he isn't even bald. :/

The new Raynor takes a dump on the old Raynor anyway.

Doesn't change the fact that, drunkard or not, Raynor's new character looks uglier than Angelina Jolie (which is saying something. good lord that woman is atrocious).

I'm going to go ahead and guess that Raynor was bald because he was a Confederate Marshall. I don't know how they do things on Tarsonis, but I've never met someone in the service with Raynor-hair.

We need to setup a 3v3 or 4v4 team. MyndFyre asked me the other day to play, but I was playing with a few friends at the time.

I (finally) finished my placements today...in Platinum for now. Me, Myndy, and Lead are in silver for 3v3 (lol they suck). We can do some 4v4s I guess.

What? I'm in platinum for 3v3 random and a 3v3 arranged. I'm in gold in 1v1 and 4v4. The only thing below gold that I'm in is 2v2 because Lead dragged me down.

I'm rank 9 in silver league, division Scion Pi. I've been going up a few every day, so hopefully I'll hit gold soon.

It's actually quite challenging to get a promotion to a new league. IIRC, QXC was 900 in platinum at the time when most Diamonds were at 600. Your promotion is based on MMR, not displayed rank, too. So you can never be sure.

Promoted to Gold Division, Warbringer Upsilon. I got on and was rank 5 in Silver, lost three games, and that was the recipe for success. I was rank 13, then alt-tabbing got me to rank 9. If I knew being bad would be so successful, I'd have never gone to college.

No, it's just that you were winning when Battle.net wasn't expecting to, so your sigma was too high for you to get promoted (there's a big thread on TL about MMR and sigma and how promotion probably works [since we can't be sure]).

That seems to be the trend in 1s, too. Invariably when I see I'm playing zerg I know to expect lings, and invariably I can counter them.
