Fancy Vegetarian Menu
« on: September 24, 2010, 09:17:25 am »
I figure this is the best place I know of to ask (my gun site seems to have a lot of ppl confused by vegetarianism).  Any who, my roommate is a vegetarian, and I'm sleeping with her (bad idea, but whatever).  Tonight we're going to the symphony, and I am resolved to fix a fancy feast...problem: vegetarian.  It's hard for me to view vegetables as anything other than side dishes...just how I was raised.

So far I'm thinking: scalloped tomatoes and orange infused peppers.

Any other thoughts on easy veg menus?

Greek spinach pie and quinoa?
that sounds tasty, actually.

A trick to cooking with vegetables, while still having good food, is to cook with carbs: pastas, rice, pizza, etc.  You can easily make any of those without meats and still have an awesome meal.
And like a fool I believed myself, and thought I was somebody else...
