I took this picture from the top of Lily Pond cliff, in Manitoba's Whiteshell Provincial Park. It's a popular destination for rockclimbers, with many popular routes, which is the reason I was there.

This particular picture was taken after my friend locked his keys in his car, and we had to get to high ground to call a tow truck.

It was a cold morning and a warm afternoon. You can see the clouds retreating in the picture.

More sizes and stuff here.

Did you crop the picture height to make it look kinda panoramic?
I tend to edit my topics and replies frequently.

The once grove of splendor,
Aforetime crowned by lilac and lily,
Lay now forevermore slender;
And all winds that liven
Silhouette a lone existence;
A leafless oak grasping at eternity.

No, I joined together either 5 or 10 pictures (I forget which one this was) so it is legitimately panoramic. The original is over 10,000 pixels across (that one is 5908 x 1932 if you use the link at the bottom).

I have a programming folder, and I have nothing of value there

Running with Code has a new home!

You climb lots? I used to love climbing in scouts. That said, we used tennis shoes, garden gloves, and our harnesses were damn swiss seats...ow.

I climb at the gym twice/week, but living on the prairies it's not easy to "hit the crags". It's a minimum 90-minute drive to get anywhere, plus an hour or more for set up/takedown means it's basically a full-day adventure.

I've only been on one climbing trip ever, so far, on April 1 of this year. We were supposed to go this Sunday, but the weather didn't cooperate. I'm hoping to do it on a regular basis for the summer. Also been getting into slacklining. Slacklining is fun + challenging :)

At first I was all "I like slacking, too! Fuck productivity!" Then I was all "Google -> slacklining". Then I was all "FUCK THAT!"

Haha, that's called highlining. Maybe some day. Right now, we do it about a meter off the ground. And mostly just fall. :)

Tricklining is also cool, but I don't think I'll be able to do much of that.
