Star Wars: The Old Republic

I've been playing SWTOR. Who else?

One thing I find super shitty (or maybe I'm just dumb) is that you can't /friend someone unless they're online. Listing our toons here is completely useless, but anyhow..

Hashrocket (26 Jedi Sentinel) @ Wound in the Force
Bashrocket (~16 Jedi Consular) @ Wound in the Force
Crashrocket (1 Sith Inquisitor) @ Wound in the Force
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

You might be right about that, Joe.

I played it for a couple of hours at a friends house a while ago. I was thoroughly unimpressed. It was fun, but I'd have been just as happy to sit around and chat... maybe play some board games or something.

I remember being completely enamored the first time I played WoW - which was at the same friend's house, under the same conditions.

Either the game is lame (unlikely), or I'm lame (more likely).

SWToR is really fun but I don't have time for it.  I played in the beta, had a high-level Sith Inquisitor and really liked it, but I haven't played it at all at release even though I pre-ordered it.
And like a fool I believed myself, and thought I was somebody else...

Yeah, it's been like that since beta- it's lame.  Be glad that you started playing in patch 1.2 where there is lots of new features added that should have been there since launch IMO.  Also, coming in at 1.2 means lots of annoying bugs have been fixed that you won't have to endure.

MystDoom (Jedi)  - Corellian Run

I quit the game about 3-4 weeks ago, I was on Corellian Run, Republic side.  I logged in earlier this week, so I guess I must have received a free month right before my subscription was up...  I think they gave everyone that was lvl 50 a free month after they released patch 1.2.

Quitting was probably for the best since I was getting kind of bored of it and these next few months need to be focused on finding a new job and starting to build a portfolio of work (that's public) in case I fail to find a new job that meets my requirements... which means I probably won't be playing Diablo III come May 15th either =(.

Yeah, I had chosen Corellian Run because a RL friend chose it... turned out he never got a character to lvl 30 and rarely logged on, thus I joined a server for no good reason- sucked.

I gave TOR the old college try, but I really wasn't enjoying it. The character stories were an interesting idea, but I became burnt out on themepark MMOs with WoW. I also don't really have the time to commit to video games like I did as an undergrad. That said, I enjoy a game of Team Fortress 2 a few times a week. Anyone else?
errr... something like that...
