Pretty crazy that we're closer to 2030, than we are 2005. Where did the time go!

A lot of my followers are players of the game, if I talk about how much I love hello kitty online, they won't care!  :P
And like a fool I believed myself, and thought I was somebody else...

QuoteLike all things in life, pumping is just a primitive, degenerate form of bending.

[13:42:03]<@TehUser> I wasn't asking for wang pictures, I was looking at them.
[13:47:40]<@TehUser> Mine's fairly short.

I dislike facebook due to the tying to real identification, but I do like the ability that facebook/twitter give for you to 'approve' or 'like'/'retweet' what someone says.  Very simple, easy way to share opinions, or, more often, jokes.

I work a paid internship as a 'web programmer' at a video game company, and since I'm remote, I don't really have set hours I need to be online or anything, so long as I'm getting all of my work done.  I get to choose a lot of what I do as well, which I think is probably one of the best perks a job can give.  When I find myself bored over the next few days, I imagine I'll be working.
Choose to work on RAP! :)

I have a programming folder, and I have nothing of value there

Running with Code has a new home!

Twitter needs like functionality. Retweeting is a different brand of that. If I retweeted everything I thought was cool, people who subscribe to me via SMS (some people do, and I don't know why!!) would definitely throw their phones at a wall.

You can customize sms settings to not display retweets, or you can hide retweets from a certain person.

The power of Twitter, in my opinion, is the simplicity.

Joe

I don't think that would filter out implicit retweets, and up until today (the Mac App Store launched today, by the way), Tweetie didn't support explicit retweets.

By the way, an implicit retweet is basically "RT @username: ", followed by the message. An explicit retweet is actually specified in the JSON / XML used to send the new message to twitter, for those who didn't know.

If somebody retweets a lot and I can't turn off retweets, then I can simply unfollow them. :)

But I like that there's no 'like' button on twitter, that would just be redundant.

With tomorrow's likely announcement of the iPhone coming to Verizon... I'll probably be getting an iPhone at the end of the month... having estimated the cost for the unlimited data plan + cheapest voice plan + cheapest texting option - 21% company discount ~= $65/mo or so... I might as well stop being a Jew and get a smartphone.
I tend to edit my topics and replies frequently.

Hah, I was just going to post something like, "For those who don't know, Verizon's announcing that they're going to carry the iPhone in about an hour", but apparently you beat me to it.

Fail:  Told whorish bitchy roommate/landlord/girlfriend I love her.
Win:  SHE DIDN'T FREAK and reciprocated!

You won't get as much of a discount as you think.  Typically the plan discount applies ONLY to the base amount of the plan and not the data/text/insurance/anything else packages you add on.  I'm using a family plan with a 20% corporate discount and it only saves me about $15/month.
