Pretty crazy that we're closer to 2030, than we are 2005. Where did the time go!

Wicked I got slammed with a $550 ticket last night. Speeding 42 in a 30, and Rapid Acceleration(Squeled my tires at light.
My tires squeal because they suck....can you really get a ticket for that?

Well, I'd imagine its obvious when you're trying to accelerate too quickly, causing unnecessary ruckus for everyone.  Is it pretty loud?

Also, how is getting a ticket "nice" in any way?  :\

Crazed is saying nice because, yet again, rich white boy trust has the world handed to him on a platter.

Not in those words, but basically.

A friend of mine got a ticket for doing 55 in a 35 I believe.  He went through asmall town at 35 and started speeding up but speed limit outside small town was still 35...GIANT speed trap is what people from that area tell me.  Anyhow, my buddy got a seat belt violation (the officer said it looks better on insurance?) instead...weird but cheaper and better on insurance.
This story is to contrast the "rich white boy" ... pretty much.

Yes, you can.

I spose I should've added that the area is by NO means rich, nor is my friend (he's white, but the majority of people in that area of the state, I believe, are not-white)

I have the world handed to be on a platter because I got a speeding ticket? Yes, this makes a lot of sense. I'm so damn lucky.

That's neat you don't have to pay it. Heh. Out here, you're assfucked if you get caught speeding after your first offense. :P

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

It's not guaranteed, just the judge in this town is apparently lenient with traffic violations. I'll probably get it reduced to a non-moving violation (no points on record or insurance increase) and will just have to pay a smaller fine plus court costs. I'm hoping that since it's my first offense I'll get it removed completely but it's not guaranteed.

Newby

Out here, if you do traffic school, it doesn't go on your record and there is no ticket. And that's offered for first offenses.

I'm not sure, though; I haven't been ticketed. *knock on wood* :)
