If you're talking about me, you're mistaken. I hate all government equally. I don't think that making choices that I consider morally right should reflect any particular political system (unless you consider going against your own morals to be a property of conservativism -- but I doubt that's the case). I believe largely in utilitarianism, and to me, the happiness I could get from eating meat/animal products doesn't balance with the amount of suffering/death eating them causes.

You can make vegan tacos! There is vegetable-based ground beef, which I've never tried but that my sister likes (and she's pretty picky). You can also use beans as a base instead of beef. And, if you're like me and love sour cream, get soy-based stuff. It's surprisingly good! :)

And haha @ synthetic oil... the real oil is fine, it's decomposed plant matter. There might be incidental animals, but they're like the rabbits that get run over on farms -- incidental and unintentional. :P

Kids just sit around these days, the likely hood that you see one on the street is small.  And in the event that you DID see one on the street, it'd probably just be some mexican kid running across the highway.
