I went to plenty of concerts alone when I was in Calgary. And I'm going to another one alone next week. It doesn't make a huge difference since, once things start moving, we generally end up separated anyways.

Plus, it's one of my absolute favourite bands coming and everybody I'd normally go with can't make it, so to hell with them!

Heh, I totally agree with that.  It may be fun, but it seems pretty inconsiderate.

I'm not saying we're doing it just to be assholes, I'm saying 15 drunk college guys (about 10 of them I've never seen drunk, so I don't even know how they'll act) going to see an awesome movie in UNIVERSITY City on a Friday.....come on.  I would not take my kids (if I was a parent) to the only theater in UNIVERSITY City on a Friday, that's just not good parenting.

I just hope there aren't many parents with kids this Friday who want to see whatever movie we end up seeing.

Many college students have more things to do on Fridays than see a movie. Children, however, do not. You fail.

The exception is one Friday night when I went skiing with some friends, but that is acceptable. It really pisses me off when people are noisy/obnoxious in a movie theater. I don't have young kids, but I go to a theater to get into a movie (otherwise, I could just watch it at home with all the classic distractions), and even a small group of people can ruin that for everybody.

Luckily, that kind of thing is rare, here. In these parts, people are generally considerate. :)

Yeah ours generally start at 10, but you start pregaming around 4ish I mean there's no time for a movie.
