Usually 4 shots and a tall can of beer don't put me out. I'm pretty sure I tried drinking Sailor Jerry's later the evening, and it went up my nose and got absorbed into the bloodstream rapidly, which is why I suddenly woke up on a coach at 10am drunk!
Ugh... Sailor Jerry. :(
errr... something like that...

Tuberload

I put my hand through a window pane today. It was a good way to end twelve hours of work. I got nine stitches and two decent size gashes on the palm of my hand.
I am prepared to be ridiculed for what I believe, are you?

Blaze

I didn't like the window, either.  Now it knows who's boss.
And like a fool I believed myself, and thought I was somebody else...

Never thought I'd say this but: cleaning is great for procrastinating.

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

There's a reason I clean my desk at work every week or two. :D

That's how it used to be when I was in college.  But now that I'm out of school and working, I tend to do the opposite, and go into work for several hours on Saturday and/or Sunday to procrastinate cleaning/ doing chores around my apartment.  Since my team has been granted special permission to get overtime pay until the end of the year.  I figure, if I'm going to procrastinate doing something like cleaning, then I might as well do something that'll increase my annual income, or allow me to leave earlier later in the week or wake up later in the morning and still get my 40/hrs a week in.
I tend to edit my topics and replies frequently.

I just wanted to let you all know that a resident
on our floor is sick.  UHS did not give a definite confirmation that it is
H1N1, but they said it most likely is.  The resident went home today to
recover, and so there wouldn't be a chance of spreading it.

Omg swine flu strikes again, two rooms down from me.

Omg people still getting all scared about sickness when it's currently less harmful than a normal flu.

Don't assume you know things about epidemiology that you don't.

I won't claim any kind of expertise, but I think it's important to recognize the risk.

H1N1 is the same type of influenza that caused the 1918 pandemic, which killed 10-50 million people.  Given that its first outbreak was relatively mild, it seems silly to rule out the possibility that it could happen this time too.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't people contageous before they show symptoms? That would make "there wouldn't be a chance of spreading it" a blatant lie :)

I'm pretty sure its so MORE people don't get sick, or so that no one does if somehow someone didn't catch it yet. But yeah, I think you're contagious 24 hrs before symptoms strike

Right, which makes the posting that Hitmen quoted wrong. "so there wouldn't be a chance of spreading it" = incorrect!
