I use the redhat theme becasue 1 its one of the best MStyles theme.  And I like the look of the taskbars, not necessarily the hat.
It works for me, meh.

a png is usually around the same size as a jpg, unless you make it using paint like that butthead probably did

The GIF problem is from like, 1995ish and was because some company owned a patent on the type of compression used in GIFs. The JPG one is recent. PNG has no patents associated with it, fair game for everyone.

Yes, it usually is... but both of them can be adjusted. I get lazy and KSnapshot. My Paint only saves as BMP and GIF.
