That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

To all you anti Joe's, I would say he got in the clan somehow so he obviously can do stuff right, wouldn't you like to have the chance to prove yourself if you were in his posistion?

To all you for-Joe's, he was capable of getting in, so obviously he can do some stupid shit seeing as how he isn't in it anymore. =P

I see where he is coming from, but he needs to give it time.

Joe, I don't hate you.  I just don't think you put a good face on the clan.  You're fun to give a hard time to, partly because you deserve it and partly because you take it fairly well.  But you just do really stupid stuff, and that stuff can make our group look bad.

Maybe once you grow up a bit and you stop doing knee-jerk things without thinking, we'll have a spot for you.  In fact, if that's the kind of person I see in you, then I would hope to be the first to welcome you back into the clan.  You have a lot of potential waiting to be realized, Joe, but before we can even reach towards that potential, you need to start... well, thinking, before you do stuff.  And you have to make getting attention not so much a priority.

To all you anti Joe's, I would say he got in the clan somehow so he obviously can do stuff right, wouldn't you like to have the chance to prove yourself if you were in his posistion?
Joe had a LOT of opportunities to prove himself when he was a member.  He proved himself to have bad judgment.  I voted against Joe when he was first applying to be a member, too, so your argument "he obviously can do stuff right" doesn't fly with me.  My opinion of Joe (the "original analysis" I referred to here) hasn't changed.
Warning: the links above are in Members forums.  They were provided because GS is a member and the response was directed at him.  Before you ask, no, you cannot see what they say.

Doesn't matter what your vote was he got in and that is doing something right. He can prove himself to people, I would never consider someone "permantly" out of a circle, thats just arrogant and nonhelpfull, pesimistec.

His election period was a lot shorter than the time he was in the clan.  If you ask me, it's harder to play nice for a longer time than it is to suck up for a few weeks while you're being voted on.

Like Myndy said, you obviously didn't read. Right inside of his post he said if Joe matures, he'd love to be one of the first welcome him in. All he's basically saying is to wait, I don't know where you got "permanently" from.

First off I wasn't just talking to you, MyndFyre, and second I don't understand why you don't think I read your post, maybe you can't my opinion on the matter but it is still my opinion.

The reason I defend Joe here is because personally he's been really cool to me and he is my friend,  I will stick up for him because I believe he just needs to prove himself again, that's all.

Or perhaps he convinced the right people(person), causing all of the non-believers and unenlightened ones who either did not vote or followed the convinced blindly, passing a vote leading to this catostrophic series of events? Is this a hole in the very fabric of our design? Yes, but have those holes magically started to fix themselves? Yes. He was fairly judged and cast back out into the darkness. I pray your illumination, GameSnake, will lead him back into the light.

Umm...what? That reply to Tuberload was a semi-joke, I'm pointing out that he sounds very...in a mythical sense, holy in his posts.

And that post was the truth, too bad Krazed trashed it.

I'm not tossing any "BS" at Tuberload, you can't disagree with me when I say that his points are very hard to ignore, because of the way he speaks while doing so. (No, I'm not sucking up, just giving you my reasoning.)

To prove everyone on this forum and in this clan that he's able to handle being a semi-mature member he must actually do it before he ask to join, he hasn't done either excepct post on the "to-join-forum" twice thinking that's all he needs to do, which makes me kind of believe he doesn't want to change and if he does it's only to get past the voting stage. As i've asked this question before in the member forum yet you(gamesnake) haven't answer to it, maybe you haven't read it so here it is again:
Honestly, If he was able to handle his memberships from the start, None of this would've happen at all.

For all you people who's support his rejoining, Tell me what difference does it makes if he rejoin now? From a clan point of view, not because you're his friend.

Joe had many chances from he first joined, then to when he was in the clan, and then when he first knew he was going to be voted out. That's more than enough.

It gets me back in a "circle" that I was once good friends with. Thats what x86 is about, friendship, isn't it? x86 is a group of close friends..

And how many of you can honestly say that you're happier now what I'm gone? I'm not saying none of you can, but I'm saying that I still have friends here, and numerous members would want me back.

No but seriously.. I agree with Myndy. You need to like, grow up... You can be fun sometimes on AIM, just incorporate that. People found it annoying when they met me at first (I'm the same all around, unless i m jokin and m talking lyke dis, l0l0l!) but hey, I guess that the people in the clan liked me enough to vote yes on me. Just.. grow up, stop defiling images of me, and uh.. be yourself.

be yourself.
A more mature self.

I don't really know you, but from what everyone says.. you aren't the most mature person.  So, just act more mature, and think before you do stuff.

Say to yourself "What would happen if I did this" then if you think it's a good idea do it, if you don't think it's such a grand idea, then don't do it.  It's simple. :)

Joe, one of the reasons I think you shouldn't be in the clan is because I perceive you as a poser, and someone who tried to draw attention to himself.  These are traits I consider when I evaluate someone's character.  I may be wrong on either or both of these, but they're my opinion.  You can or cannot try to change it.  I don't care.  But being someone who wants all the attention for himself isn't going to get you very far in life.

Being part of this clan is supposed to be beneficial to you, as well.  But you didn't take advantage of that as a member; in fact, you ignored it entirely.

EDIT -
And how many of you can honestly say that you're happier now what I'm gone? I'm not saying none of you can, but I'm saying that I still have friends here, and numerous members would want me back.

If numerous members wants you back you wouldn't have gotten voted out in the first place. It's pretty much makes no difference if you're gone or not, the clan still goes on and  everything is still normal. If you attempt to change then i'm pretty sure many members would want you back and to help out the environment of this clan, but yet all you do is disrupt it. Which is why imo, you shouldn't come back untill changes are made.

The day, and the following days, a large amount of members (namely Uh, no) IM'd me saying that they were sorry I was voted out, and had they known a vote was going on, they would have voted for me to stay in. I can't see the member boards, obviously, so I don't know this for sure, but I think that with their three votes, I would still be in x86. But I've accepted the fact (rather, newby made me accept the fact) that I'm out of x86 and theres nothing I can do about it, except rejoin. And thats exactly what I'm (attempting to) do.

EDIT -
I'm in a mood to not single people out right now. But yeah, people did say that.
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

A large amount of members? The number I'm pretty sure that didn't get to vote (I have the list still) isn't very large.

Perhaps it's symbolism that members should participate more actively?

I can't see the member boards, obviously, so I don't know this for sure, but I think that with their three votes, I would still be in x86.

/home/newby/Joe.vote.gz is not the same as the posts on the members' forum. Infact, there are more votes in my Joe.vote.gz than there are on the members' forum, simply because people don't want their vote public.

But I've accepted the fact (rather, newby made me accept the fact) that I'm out of x86 and theres nothing I can do about it, except rejoin. And thats exactly what I'm (attempting to) do.

You make it sound as if I wanted you out, and don't want you back in. I don't like when people make me look bad. I don't like it one fucking bit.

I am NOT going to extend a vote past its deadline because some members were too fucking inactive to visit the forum for a good minute or two, check up on what is new, and vote. If they were truly inactive, their vote would have not counted towards the total. If they were busy, that is their problem.

I am NOT going to bend the rules for one particular vote. I'd bend it for all of them.

Wait, if I was bending it for all of them, I could just change the rule, correct?

I am NOT going to reinstate a vote because you think your vote would pass and you would be in x86.

Why?

Because that would be bending the rules, and that is not something I intend to do.

If they weren't active enough for their vote, perhaps that is a message them to be more active and shit they don't like won't happen or may not happen. I guess the phrase "your vote counts, no matter how small" works here!

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

You tried and make newby bend the rules for you so you could get in?  Why would that be necessary? Apparently you did something wrong...

And disgraceful, Joe, if you we're trying to pull a stunt like that, I'm glad you're not in any stance of power anymore. I don't like to pull myself into these members types of threads, but that's really low Joe, wether or not you were "joking".

Wow, I'm sorry I used Newby's wording. I was asking him to extend the voting period one hour (from the conversation) so that the people who didn't think it would ever work could vote, and so that I could stay in the clan.

Find a post anywhere on this or any other forum/site where I stated I'm in x86, and I'll care to even step near debating that arguement. I respect x86 as a clan, I enjoy the members, I don't like the fact that you JUST got kicked out, and in less then a month you've posted two threads in the ' I'd like to join ' forum, asking to be voted on again. Wether I'm in the clan or not, it should show you that you're not just lessening your chances of getting in, however you're also annoying the outside base of x86 (the people who just talk and hang out here).

I think that Joe should be let back in. He knows his boundries now and what line not to cross. Unless he would like to get kicked out again if he does rejoin, I think he'll stay in line.

Starting multiple threads shows persistance which means he's willing to work to improve how he is in x86.

I don't think he makes our clan look bad, after all who likes a bunch of stuck up mostly programmers who can't joke around?

I think Joe has to understand as well that it would be up to him to stay in line and that he can't be constantly reminded to since we arn't going to babysit him. Once he understands that and shows signs of improvement, I have no problem giving him my vote.
One must ask oneself: "do I will trolling to become a universal law?" And then when one realizes "yes, I do will it to be such," one feels completely justified.
