Even then it rarely gets below freezing.  I've lived here for 7 years now, and I've rarely seen more than maybe 2 weeks of frosts.  Last year was pretty cold.

When I was in high school, I would routinely be up before dawn through November (for marching band).  I never really experienced frosts or snow.  Chicago on the other hand..... bitter, bitter cold.

Missouri sucks.  We get ice storms, and we always get below freezing. :(  And since I live extremly close to Kansas, I would say that they suck too. :D
