Invigoration
« on: January 06, 2005, 06:37:59 pm »
I'd like to announce during my Visual Basic classes (which are too easy) my teacher and I have been discussing building a bot. So far, its only in planning stages, but of course I need to get a pirated copy of Visual Basic (blah) and i'm on dial up. So I'm working on it.

Mainly though, Warrior told me about this site, so here I am posting away. ;) If anyone is willing to help me interpret things later down the road give me a holler. Or you can visit my site @ http://www.bnet.cc  I'll probably visit here frequently in the next few weeks though.

Anyway, theres my post.. :-P

Holy crap, can't believe your teacher wants to help make a bot.

Just go buy vb6. =)

Uhm.

Comp Sci teachers suck at what they teach.

Our web design teacher is a fucking moron. I could spit HTML out my ass better than he can. I doubt he even knows HTML.

Well, good luck with your project!

Thanks for finding a use for this board, too. I was gonna delete some of the dead boards nobody uses. :P

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

Try buying the copy of Visual BASIC, or getting a deal with your teacher of your classes. You can get a student license for cheap.

Comp Sci teachers suck at what they teach.

You can't make that generalization.  I had a good Comp Sci teacher in highschool, and have had several amazing and severla horrible ones in University.

Have fun just learning VB6 and attemtping to make a bot which is nothing short of impossible to do

Sounds like a good project, and will probably get you some brownie points with the teacher and class, since compared to basic VB classes which consist of creating accounting and banking projects, this one is much more advanced and funner!

Meh I just got a copy of it basically. Hes sending it to me on monday should have it by Wednesday. ^^

Also, yea I agree, most computer-esque teachers are usually idiots even in the fields they're supposed to specialize in. My web design teacher was an idiot, she didn't even know about table headers and how to throw a background image behind the table. Meh she barely knew anything about PHP also.

So yea, I agree. And yea, its gonna be a trek for me to do. I figured I'd post it here, since this forum looked lonely.

Comp Sci teachers suck at what they teach.

My computer science teacher knows just about every language, INCLUDING PUNCH CARDS.  Go die.  He's 1337'er than Skywing, Zakath, Spht, Stealth, Me, Newby, Darkness, Warrior, Quik, Agarwaen, BaDDBLooD, just about everyone else online, and iago combined (I know, it's hard to believe)!

He's an old man, Warrior.  The first language he learned was binary, then assembly, then punch cards, and so on and so forth.  PUNCH CARDS.  Can you program in punch cards?  Well?  CAN YOU?!  NO YOU CAN'T, BITCH!!!

haha, that sounded like my highschool tech administrator, big knowlege, could go anywhere, stood in the city for his daughter to graduate.

He had a knowlege of around 35 programming languages, plus non-x86 oriented platforms! (sparc, etc) He was also a leet admin, when I used to jr.admin for him he'd find some kiddie on a gamesite eating his bandwidth, then he'd remotely close the program and netsend messages! :p

Some kid got suspended at my school for using net send to send a message to every computer in the district. Fun stuff.  :D

Trust did that once. Well, he didn't get suspended, but he did net send, and didn't realize it went all over the district. :P
