Quote(22:28:28) Joe: Can you imagine what it would be like if WoW was written in Java?
(22:28:36) [x86] MyndFyre: hahaha
(22:28:38) [x86] MyndFyre: no 3D :P
(22:28:50) Joe: DONT HIT ONYXIA, I'LL GO TO 100% CPU USAGE AND HEAT UP THE WHOLE ROOM!
(22:28:53) Joe: *hit*
(22:28:55) [x86] MyndFyre: LOL
(22:28:57) Joe: YOU IDIOTS, HALF THE RAID JUST DROPPED
(22:29:26) Joe: Hence why Java didn't advance very far in the MMORPG world. =/.
(22:29:52) [x86] MyndFyre: haha
Laugh, you all. If you don't find it funny, see the processor usage thread in JavaOp's resolved bugs. =p

You might be right about that, Joe.

What I can't figure out is how you got a conversation up with MyndFyre, and not getting blocked...
And like a fool I believed myself, and thought I was somebody else...

Incidentally, Java has a very powerful 3d API.

The reason JavaOp2 is slow is probably because I'm doing something stupid.

You both sound quite ignorant in that quotation.

Newby

Joe, sounding ignorant? Say it ain't so!

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

You know what? I think Joe aliased somebody else as [x86] Myndfyre and messaged them, playing them off as Myndfyre.

One must ask oneself: "do I will trolling to become a universal law?" And then when one realizes "yes, I do will it to be such," one feels completely justified.

zorm

yes, see JOGL and some other libraries.

Also see Runescape which is a rather popular MMORPG written in Java. I must agree with iago's ignorant comment.
