Pretty crazy that we're closer to 2030, than we are 2005. Where did the time go!

wow, tahts a hell of a lot of snow :) It was 80 degrees here today and 90 yesterday.

Hehehe :)  I have a similar experience:

Crappy phone picture, I know.  That's outside of where I work at ~11:30 this morning (Networks might recognize the intersection of Greenfield & Guadalupe :P)

I have a programming folder, and I have nothing of value there

All the traffic and stuff was slow as crap today, but at least it's moving.  Yesterday, busses weren't running, and there were cars stuck everywhere.  And we're a city where we're used to snow :)

iago

Woo, I got to drive today for the first time since snow.  Driving is fun :)

The plows (ploughs? whatever) do the main streets, but they leave a pile of snow at the edge, so turning onto big streets is fun.  Unless you drive a 4-wheel drive vehicle, you have to take a run at it to get over, but it's also slippery, so you have to regain control.  It's fun++, but so dangerous :)

Driving with a stick when it's slippery outside is hella crazy.  While I am driving, and I go from neutral to first gear, I skid or a squeel like crazy!  That's the only bad part of snow, and rain.  I think I just need an automatic, while I was learning how to drive, I drove an automatic, and while in the snow it was a lot easier to manuver... But it was also four wheel drive, whereas my car isn't.. *sigh*  But like you said ron:

The once grove of splendor,
Aforetime crowned by lilac and lily,
Lay now forevermore slender;
And all winds that liven
Silhouette a lone existence;
A leafless oak grasping at eternity.

4wd makes driving on ice/snow so easy that it's not fun.

I forgot to mention the worst thing: getting stuck.  I HATE getting stuck in the snow/ice, it's so embarassing and hard to get out :(

Well, I went for a bike ride last night.  It wasn't too bad when I was on the streets, but then I tried taking a pedistrian path and got owned.  I ended up walking it, because I would just sink.  But on the street, even icy areas, I was ok.  I don't think I'd be comfortable riding in heavy traffic, though :-/

Towelie

lol, get wheels made for snow then you can pwn it up in the snow

The secret is to keep your tires at a low PSI.  Then they have more surface area = more traction.

We had snow last Wednesdayish, it melted, we have more snow tomorrow. :\

It only snows once maybe twice in January through mid February.  If it does snow we only get an inch or two. :(

Last year it didn't snow at all. :(

Furious

Yeah, I think the snow will own my car.

Oddly enough it hasn't snowed here yet this year. In the past years that I've lived here we have gotten atleast snowflakes or a considerable snow by now. However, the temperature has been consistantly below freezing at night for the past couple of weeks now so if a storm ever does move in we will likely get a fair amount of snow.
