Facebook killed the radio star. And by radio star, I mean the premise of distributed forums around the internet. And that got got by Instagram/SnapChat. And that got got by TikTok. Where the fuck is the internet we once knew?

I'd personally do as Joe suggests
You might be right about that, Joe.
No, a little after.Whoever voted no or abstained, I'd apreciate it if you contacted me.

I think they only way you're going to regain members' respect is submissively, through your "global" actions, not by your personal persuasion.

I think Joe's response here might have an effect on him (or her!)
I have a programming folder, and I have nothing of value there
Our species really annoys me.

We don't have any women in the clan because Newby keeps asking them to sex him up whenever they even think about LOOKING at our website.

Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

Next time I fly to Arizona I'm burning your house down and/or shooting your family.
I believe Newby told you the results, you must have gotten the order mixed up:9 yes - 5 no - 4 abstainI'm sure if you give it time, you'll have a chance. It really did come down to the last couple people

It really did come down to the last couple people Still, 4 abstains leaves little margin for error. And actually, since there are 20 members and 2 didn't vote, that's actually 6 abstains.25% of 14 is 3.5; only 4 no's would have taken Joe out of the running at that rate of abstention. Had everybody voted, it would have taken 6 no's. (25% of 20 is 5, but to get in you only need 75% of the vote, so it would have taken one more no for complete elimination).
All of which makes perfect sense. If I wanted it to be easier to join, I would have made it 66%, like vL. Or, I wouldn't have allowed abstains, and not ended the vote until there are enough yes's or no's. But the way we're doing it now work perfectly ine.
