Facebook killed the radio star. And by radio star, I mean the premise of distributed forums around the internet. And that got got by Instagram/SnapChat. And that got got by TikTok. Where the fuck is the internet we once knew?

This is a screenshot from Vista.  According to the text at the bottom, the timer can time "almost anything".

I wonder what it is unable to time.... :)

Sidoh

I already told you tomorrow that I don't agree with your linear conception of time.

Reminds me of widgets and the dock in OSX.

Shh, it's revolutionary!
And like a fool I believed myself, and thought I was somebody else...

So what?

I just want to know guys, should I have not included a tabbed list of bot connections in my first bot just because it had already been done in Visual Studio, and then claimed it was new (for bots)?

Should I not include a file menu because it's used in another company's product?

Additionally Apple wasn't the first one with "Gadgets", I personally could care less who did something first. It's who does it better and frankly Vista beats Apple in this one.

Think about it, should we have stuck to using the worlds first browser because it was thought of first? No.

It's revolutionary because it does things and makes things easier for the developer. iirc most Gadgets are either XML or XAML.
One must ask oneself: "do I will trolling to become a universal law?" And then when one realizes "yes, I do will it to be such," one feels completely justified.

You can include it, that's not the issue.  The issue is that Microsoft is selling everything they do as a new/innovative technology (at least, that's the impression I get) when, as it turns out, it's not.

If you add tabs to your bot and started telling people that you found this "cool new way" to organize bots, then there would be a problem, yes.

Why?  At the time, it was new to bots.  This is new to Windows.

I don't see the difference.

I think you're making a faulty comparison.

Mac OS => Windows -- They're both operating systems with a similar purpose.  If one uses a feature from another, it's not innovative.

Your Bot => Visual Studio -- They're completely different programs.  If one uses a feature from the other, it could be innovative.

I think you have to compare your bot to other bots (Battle.net, IRC, whatever) to be able to draw useful conclusions about MIcrosoft and Apple.

Why release the screenshot if it looks the same as a modified XP OS or linux wm? All the Vista supporters are saying that it's the features and coding that is desirable, and while that may be true for the target market, it doesn't justify releasing a screenshot. As I see it, the only reason they give pictures is to gloat.

Because it isn't modified and performs better than them? Because it's implemented in a more efficient matter?

That WM is the toned-down version without 3D support, probably for a slower computer.

This is nothing new.. Apple does something, Mr. Gates goes "WTF! Do that guys!", and a new OS is born...
Thanks, Ryan Marcus

See, things like that are annoying. Actually try responding to what I said in response to that argument already.
You guys do it sure, but you do it bad. That's the difference.
