Are you left handed? I think the side you brush on at first depends on the hand you use to brush with. I'm right handed, I use my right hand, and I brush the bottom-right first (yes, I brush my teeth -.-).

When you shower, do you face toward or away from the shower head?
When you put on your shoes, which foot do you do first?
When you brush your teeth, which side do you start on?

Variable. When I'm washing my hair, away. When I'm washing my face, toward. When I'm rinsing my mouth after brushing teeth (I do that in the shower), toward.

I face away initially, then to wake myself up, I turn the water to cold and face towards it.

When I put on my shoes, I usually start with the right one(I'm left-handed), or the closest one to me.

When I brush my teeth, I start on the side closest to my toothbrush.

I shower both ways, depending on what part of me I'm washing.  At Xar's house, the showerhead is directly above you, which is crazy. 

I put on whichever shoe I pick up first, which is generally the closest one to me. 

I start at the bottom-left.
