It has a picture. Basically it ties my picture to a name, but not a DOB, which I was expecting to be on there.
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

You might be right about that, Joe.

It still works as a picture ID.

It took you less than 30 seconds to reply. Talk about trolling. :)

I was going to edit, but you already replied. The picture on my ID is the one with my long hair (halfway between my avatar and my current hair) so I don't know if they'd accept that. I could also carry my middle school ID, but I've grown a bit and don't wear glasses when I'm not reading.

Trolling implies consistently negative, mood-shattering posts.

As long as they're able to distinguish facial features in the picture, it'll still work.

At banks around here school IDs like that dont count, you need a state issued ID.  For good reasons too, you can put w/e name on it you want & stuff

By working at a beer store, I have a pretty good idea of which IDs count (in Canada).  The only IDs that are worth anything are government-issued photo ID.  That's something like:
- Driver's License
- Liquor Commission card
- Native Card
- Meti Card
- Armed Forces ID
- International Student ID

I think that's all of them.  I seem to remember there being 6 on the list.

And, if we're assholes and you need a second piece of ID, anything that the government issues:
- Birth Certificate
- SSN Card
- Medical Card
- Etc.

Regular student ID cards definitely don't count.

- International Student ID

This shouldn't mean anything.  When I was in first year, half of the people I knew in res got international student IDs from the university (!), and they just lied to the person taking the photo about their age -- nothing other than a university card (which doesn't have DOB) was used to verify their identity to get the international ID!

:(

One of the reasons I think they were so slack about it was because the people in charge of dispensing the IDs were connected to some travel agency: so you get the card with the possible promise of doing business with their partners (actually the people who told me about this said to pretend you're interested in doing a year abroad using their services etc., before asking about the IDs), and they'll help you with your identity fraud.  Of course, it's an unspoken agreement, and one reason corporations should be in no way linked, (even as sponsors), to government/university proceedings.

My mom has been working as a bartender recently. Aside from the native card/meti card which are probably some weird canada thing, and I'm not sure about the international student ID, the only other thing you can use is a passport, iirc.

Hah, nice.  I've only seen one person try to use that, and that person was obviously an import so we accepted it.

Hmm, I think you're right, you can use a passport, too.  I think.

I hear alot of the people that the US imports comes through Deming, NM (50 miles away from here).  We have alot of meth labs around this area too.

Well, when I say import, I mean the person was a foreign student or on vacation or something.  She clearly wasn't North-American.
