My grindcore adventure
« on: July 11, 2006, 01:09:17 pm »
Ok, since iago listens to it & he posts about this here, I will too.

http://www.myspace.com/jesuswasasquatter
The band name looks to be "What The Hell"...which is very fitting.
wtf, why would you ever want to hear that?
gayerthanaids is my favorite of that band, but it isnt the random noise that I like, just the song name...there is absolutely NOTHING musical going on.

For me, Rage Against the Machine is where the rock music is at.

Why don't you go listen to some Terrorizer, Napalm Death, or hell, even Pig Destroyer, and then tell me you don't like grindcore. ;)

Maybe some Carcass or Impetigo or some Lord Gore for some goregrind action? :o

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

Napalm Death sounds more like death metal (or what I would call death metal), same with Terrorizer except less death.

Pig Destroyer sounds like grindcore...I guess, it sounds like crap so I guess thats right.

Although that band sounds like nothing I've ever heard, it has a cool sound.  There's far less energy in it than other stuff, though, it sounds like the guy is just sitting around trying to make noise.  The main thing I like about grind is the energy!  That's why it's so cool to see it live :).  It's gotta be fast and loud!

Now if you want to hear my favorite grindcore (or, as they label themselves, deathcore) band, check out Fuck!...I'm Dead.  The thingy doesn't have my favoriter songs on, but you can still get an idea.

My opinion is that *core is crap, except for polkacore which my friend and I have decided to start.  There are 4 of us that play clarinet, & jokingly we said we should start a polka grindcore kinda thing

I did, but I forgot it, I'm listening/hurting right now....

Part of "anal abaittor" sounds like there is something almost musical & sounds more metal...but the screaming voices of doom, yeah, not my thing.

If it was more metal & had words instead of grunts...but this just people hitting stuff randomly & fast...

"la la la, la la la, LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, LALALALALA"...those are the "words" I heard.

Officially, grindcore is stupid.

Hahahaha. Mosh. Ahahahahahahaha. Hardcore. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. That made me laugh out loud in real life. Lol.

No one is arguing you can't mosh to Metallica. You could pre-Master of Puppets, but you can't now. Hell, even Slayer lost it.

You can't mosh to hardcore, you can dance and kick like a ballerina.

Haha, there were some kiddies near me at Slayer who weren't really moshing, and it was kind of metally (they spent some time swinging their fists and head-banging), but somehow it ended up coming off as really girly and dancy.  I'm not sure how they did it, or why it looked so retarded..

But yeah, I'm not a fan of hardcore, although I don't hate it.  I do, however, like metalcore (Hatebreed owns all).  And hardcore is nothing like grindcore, don't get them confused.

I can't right now, but I'll try to remember to tomorrow.  I'd actually like to bring my music harddrive back from work so I can copy my songs to my new computer, but I haven't gotten around yet.  Maybe I'll just buy another iPod, that would make it easy.. hmmm

Heh.  There are some very very good deals for iPods on eBay right about now (30gb color for $120!  WEWT!).  I've been searching for a lot of  music, but it's hard to find.  I found one Fuck I'm Dead album, but it had no seeders and 2 downloaders (okay?), kerrazy is down, and thepiratebay is FUBAR.  Not to mention I've been having NAT problems recently :\

Was the torrent name "Fuck!.. I'm Dead - 2002 - Bring on the Dead.torrent" with the folder name being the same way and the filenames ##-song name.mp3?

If so, I made that torrent. 8)

Concurred. I was watching stupid fuckers do that dancing stuff at a  hxc concert (note: was not there for the hxc band) and it really made me feel like doing some real moshing and knocking them all out (or killing them), but I could not pull it off to that music (eww).

I'm going to be at work within 2 hours, and I'll upload them.

The question becomes: do I upload them to my work server?  (Answer: obviously not, my upload speed is the same as theirs, since we aren't a hosting company)

My upload speed is only so fast, but there's no cap on my end.  I can't speak for my ISP, though.

And hmm, Hatebreed is 155mb, that's a lot.  It's going to take me awhile to send it home.

Fuck!...I'm Dead is 50mb, and even that's taking awhile.  I'll send you links when they're transferred
