...topic has to be related to US government.

Anyone know of anything good?  I've thought about doing Common Sense because I've never read that & it is a big part of early American history.

Thoughts/suggestions?

non-fiction

Do the novella Anthem by Ayn Rand.  It's a negative utopia novel that isn't entirely far from what may happen here.  :)

If you have to do fiction, you could also look into this book.....  :D

I have a programming folder, and I have nothing of value there

Running with Code has a new home!

I'm told that is a good book.
Its about the special team Ross Perot put together to rescue 2 of his corporate employees from an Iranian prison.

Yeah, that's it, but a novella is of course fiction, so your prof might not sign off on it.

Did you look at my other link?  :D

Clinton, hmm, brownie points there probably.
However I wouldn't say that is government, sure he was in government, but it isnt about government...that might be an iffy one.

On Liberty - by John Stuart Mill, which is about, what else, Liberty. Looks at the rights of the individual and individual freedom. If you are what today would be considered a "conservative" you might want to stay away from this.
