Funny Limricks
« on: March 16, 2005, 10:10:18 pm »
On Linux (if you have Fortune, which comes with bsdgames), do this:

fortune -a -m "There once was a man from"

To quote the manpage for -o (offensive, which is included in -a):
Please, please, please request a potentially offensive fortune if and only if you believe, deep down in your heart, that you are willing to be offended.  (And that if you are, you'll just quit using -o rather than give us grief about it, okay?)

Here's one:
There once was a man from Sydney
Who could put it up to her kidney.
        But the man from Quebec
        Put it up to her neck;
He had a big one, now didn't he?

Here's one:

There was a young man of Cape Horn
Who wished he had never been born,
        And he wouldn't have been
        If his father had seen
That the end of the rubber was torn.

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

If you're on Linux (Slackware 10.x I suppose) and you have Fortune, type the following.

"cat /usr/share/games/fortunes/limerick-o | rot13 > translatedlimericks.txt"

Enjoy! :)
