proxy (connect over localhost:port) w/ socks
« on: March 14, 2007, 07:21:18 pm »
hi guys

i wanted to know if it is possible to let javaop connect over a proxy server (network)

i got tor installed, and it says that i can let anything run over it by having it connect over localhost:9050 or 8118 for http proxy

i can also use socks if there is need...

You can't use a HTTP proxy on Battle.net, because it's not HTTP-based, but binary.

SOCKS, you could use, but it doesn't have support for it and I have no intention of adding it, due to the likelyhood of it being abused since JavaOp is a command-line configurable bot which easily supports multiple instances of bots -- I'd hate to see our child become a massloader.
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

You might be right about that, Joe.
