Megadeth + Heaven and Hell
« on: March 15, 2007, 09:02:52 pm »
Down was supposed to play last night, but one of them got sick (too much drugs?) and everybody I've talked to (Hitmen) says that they aren't so great, so I wasn't upset.

Megadeth was rather disappointing. There are a number of Megadeth songs that I really like, especially "Use the Man", but the only one they played was "Symphony of Destruction". They also sounded pretty bad, which may have been bad mixing, or may be because the current members suck.

Heaven and Hell (Vinny, Tony Iomi, Geezer Butler, and Ronnie James Dio) sounded really good. I was disappointed that they only played songs from the 3 or 4 CDs that Dio did with Black Sabbath, and left out the older Black Sabbath songs. I thought that the current band members (not Ozzy) had rights to the songs, and I know Dio's sung them on a live album, but I guess it's a legal thing. Either way, they sounded really good, I was impressed.

And that's that!
