Bands like the old Metalica, Slayer also Lamb of God, Chimera, and the Haunted.  Well then might a make a slight suggestion that you are free to ignore or to browse on a slow day?  I play Bass in a metal band with influences from above stated bands, and if you would like to check out my band and perhaps give a little moral support by all means be my guest.  If you want to tell me to get a job and stop wasting my life, well then thats just dandy  ;)

Here are the links for my band called "Substratum"

and for the hardcore myspace haters

thank you for your time.

Armin

I don't hear any bass, but I'll probably lay that on the crappy sound quality myspace and purevolume offer.

Ya that, and actually the bass on the recordings are done through a Drum machine.  I just recently joined the band about 2 weeks ago and we are currently in the process of re-recording all the songs so that they have all the actual elements and a deeper fuller sound.  If you notice the drums are also done through a drum machine, that is also something we are re-recording as soon as Cam the guitarist or Adam the drummer get a drum mic-ing kit.

Might I ask what you thought of the rough recordings?

Armin

Ah, that makes sense. I'm assuming you're recording in a home studio, correct? I was going to ask this due to the poor quality, but the panned guitar and vocals made me second guess as most people who record in their home studio don't know much about mixing. What hardware/software do you use?

The recordings aren't bad, but I probably wouldn't be the best judge since it's not exactly my kind of music.

Ya its just Garage band with some really low quality amp simulators and patches to the computer.  We are at least Mic'ing the amps, it sounds a little better that way.

I want!  Two of the first album signed by every band member.  And another first album for listening to.

Yuuuck. Chimaira / LoG. :O

But old Metallica / Slayer has some killer stuff. Show No Mercy/Kill 'Em All and Hell Awaits/Ride The Lightning = <3++++.

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

Don't worry, Bass.  His taste in music sucks.  He likes thrash metal and 80's pop. :P
