g/f's birthday monday, what ought I do?

I havent been with her but a week by then, ought I get her something ... like, uhm, I dont know.

I plan on takin her to dinner (sushi place) & gettin her some flower (God only knows what kind).
Maybe get her jewelery? ... oye  (she does like it and has crazy amounts of stuff to wear)

Are you sure she likes Sushi?  It seems like something that's more likely for someone to not have a taste for.

Take her someplace fancy (or a mcdonalds, that's fancy enough for me), add flowers, quote a love poem and say it to her, and then take her home.

Haha, yeah right. Women nowadays think that's too corny.. at least the ones I know. Flowers, yes. Love poem? No. Trust me, quoting love poems on a date is way too cliche, and women know this.
Just take her to a _fancy_ restaurant, give her flowers, and then spit some game. Most women love gettin' eaten out.

she does like it and hasnt had it in a while...SO, I'll try that.

spose I could ask her friend, maybe.
 but one week into this, I dont want to invest too much.  dont me wrong, she's cute & way cool, but she lives 250mi away during the summer (& then upteen thousand to Thailand for fall semester)

I just realized this is perhaps the #1 worst spot for relationship advice, EVER. A week into it means you don't spend money mang, or atleast a lot. If she likes sushi, a sushi dinner is nice. Let her know you care, thats all.  :)
