I didn't have quite enough free time to take JavaOp's updates on my own, so I'm letting a team of people help out.


How can I help?

Using the following credentials, log in and fix issues and whatnot. Remember to leave your changes in javaop2/CHANGELOG.txt

What is the current version?

Currently, we are working on "beta 43".

HDX hasn't setup the cvs again since some HD issues, and from what he's said isn't in a hurry to do so and is very busy lately with other things..

Im willing to host cvs or subversion if needed but im on a home dsl connection..
Any objections or thoughts about subversion are welcome..
Also i'm curious what you guys think about just shifting the cvs to sourceforge.net as they provide cvs/bugtracking/other already and just pointing to these forums for website/forum etc?

This is going to slowdown and to a degree cause confusion with development until a stable master cvs and maintainer are found.

I'm admining a dedicated box on a good connection now so I may be able to host here if needed it should be a long term situation 6+ months atleast.

For those that don't understand what the page says if you try to view it basically untill the project is approved and Joe changes permissions and adds project members and such no body will be able to view any details on it for the time being =p
When that changes ill re-post something somewhere with a resounding WOOHOO! when everyone can see the details.
I'm sure Joe prolly will to heh

Hopefully this can be a stable and long term solution where the main/current javaop2 code base to be worked on.

Where do I get the recent version of JavaOp CVS ? There is nothing on sourceforge and I can't connect to the server mentioned above. The old server at javaop.com does not work either.

I would really appreciate it if you add javaop to sourceforge.

I am still searching for the currect CVS tree.... Can someone please help me out? Is there a current development tree in any version control system?

I've waited a while hoping for the same thing, atm i believe joe is just not interested i did manage to bug him enuff to get teh sourceforge hosting setup but since that happend not much momentum carried forward to get the sources up.
Don't blame him tho this project is sort of being carried by only those who pick it up by the boostraps and drag it along for the most part it seems..

I'll try msg joe a lil see if he can get something on the cvs that's atleast a descent starting point.

I had messaged iago about this yesterday. I know Joe leads the javaop development at the moment but he hadn't replied neither to forum post nor to private messages. iago has no time now but he suggested that he could set up his old CVS server again in two weeks when Joe would send him the current version of his workspace. I also asked him about sourceforge but he seems to prefer to host it on his own server. I would still prefer a longtime solution. So I would like to see it on any hosting service site. sf.net, berlios, google code or whatever.
