Dr. Henry Armitage, Librarian

This is Dr. Henry Armitage, the Librarian at the Miskatonic University. He's a character from The Dunwich Horror, and a character that Lovecraft identifies with personally.

This miniature presented a bunch of new challenges. I've never painted eyeglasses, a bottle, or the inside of a book before. But all three came out very nicely, thanks in part to Yazan or Neldoroth or whatever he's called today :). I seem to be quite good at painting the RAFM CoC miniatures, not sure why!

And here's a closeup of the book he's holding, which is the Necromicon. I should warn you that I cannot guarantee your sanity if you read this! Also keep in mind that it's very, very tiny. It's probably 10 - 12mm across, and even with my tiniest brush I couldn't get more than 4 characters across. I also drew a picture of a green jellyfish, which is supposed to resemble Cthulhu:
