just looked up some of my co-workers (starting tomorrow) on the FB. Definitely some potential from the females.

I think I can sleep with like 5 of them. haha probably not, the ones I thought were going to be the lookers weren't as attractive in person. There are some cute ones though, and there's only like 6 guys total...and I'm 100% sure one is gay, and about 85% sure another is gay.

yo!

For the past 4 days (and for the next six weeks), I've been at Florida State University doing some pretty interesting research. The project involves very-high precision measurement of atomic masses, for example using single ions in a device called a Penning trap.  In the Penning trap, a single atomic or molecular ion is levitated in vacuum, by a combination of magnetic and electric fields.  The magnetic field is produced by an 8.5 tesla super-conducting magnet.  The ions orbit around the magnetic field lines at a frequency inversely proportional to the mass (this is called the cyclotron frequency).  By measuring the ratio of cyclotron frequencies of two different ions I can obtain the ratio of their masses.  Our mass spectrometer, which can measure an atomic mass to 100 part-per-trillion or better, is the most accurate in the world! I also get private lectures from a pretty cool spectrometer about the physics and math behind the penning trap. The aforementioned magnetic field is so strong, it can pull a steel (not stainless) equivalent of a dewar very forcefully from six feet away.

lol this sounded like a blog

Hah, that sounds sick. Pretty powerful magnet... I'd be afraid. Working with a magnet with a pull force of ~50 pounds scares me...

so today was the 2nd day of orientation for camp. we got our assignments for the first week which was exciting. I'm leading the mini-golf camp for 3-5 year olds, so basically my days consist of playing putt-putt in the morning and swimming in the pool in the afternoon. And chasing after 3-5 year olds, but still it seems pretty chill.

This afternoon we went to a ropes course and had some team-building stuff, which was cool. I talked to a couple of the girls I kind of like some more too, which was good..laying the ground work for that. We'll see what happens.

Tomorrow night we meet the parents of the kids, so I'm kind of nervous for that.

My computer has been pwnd. I has malware. Seems silly and not really harmful but if I have one I can have others. It looks really believable though, I give them points for creativity. I tried to remove it on my own but have failed, time to reformat. <3windows

What're you making?

$8/hr

Smoke a blunt ... ?

haha being high around a bunch of sober people is no good, especially when they aren't people that smoke (such as your boss and parents).

BUT, I guess I could. I was holding off for a few weeks because I thought I might get a drug test when I had to do my physical for work, but I didn't get tested. Then I held off for a few more days because I was afraid they might test me because of my drinking charge. The human resources lady stopped me today and told me my background check came back clear and I had nothing to worry about, so I guess I'm good.

In relation to my drinking charge..my uncle (who lives like 2hrs from where the incident happened) called me the other day and was like "fax me your citations, let's see if we can't make this go away." I followed up today and it's looking like it's most likely going to be dismissed.

he and my dad (I live with my mom and step father) own a business down there. I'm assuming the attorney they use for business stuff is taking care of it, apparently he has a lot of connections in the area I was in.

step. I'll go into more detail with you on aim or something since most people here would like to see me get the death penalty for my terrible crimes against society.   ::)

but anyway I'm free to ingest whatever I want into my body now  ;D

bah, I'm beginning to turn into a workaholic. It's much more common for me to say, "I'm working," rather than anything else when someone asks me what I'm doing a certain day. People are starting to not bother asking.

Oh well, pot will make me feel better. :o
