I would like to do away with nationally funded education.

This is something that can be handled much more easily and efficiently by local governments and schoolboards.
The douchebag method:

I think he's saying that the public school system should be done away with?

leet_muffin, please clarify.

You can't just do away with the public school system. Millions of Americans would go uneducated.

Personally, I think the idea of free, public education is wonderful. I'm just not happy with the implementation.

I think that if you look at on a long enough time line, the poor people will die off, and leave just the people that are going to school to be educated to live. It's a Social Darwinism thing.

I move to college in SIX DAYS! :D

Picked up a 1TB external hard-drive so I can move all my pirated goods onto it. Then, bedsheets shopping. Then, whatever clothes I'll need. And school supplies. Then I'm off. :)

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

Whoever thinks GIMP is worth using hasn't actually tried to use it for more than ten minutes. What a pain in the freakin' ass. In the time it spent to figure out how to copy/paste I could have installed Photoshop and gotten done exactly what I needed. :|

But on a side note, I made myself a new avatar. :D

Absolutely Pointless is more like it. All of those AP classes just hurt my unweighted GPA since I was in the mindset of "a B in AP = an A in college prep" when in reality that was half-true, and the credits I got don't even go towards classes at UCD. They give me an "earlier registering time" since I'm farther ahead than most of my peers, but since the classes I want are considered "hard" by the masses and nobody picks them, I can pick a perfect schedule regardless of when I go.

And taking a "rigorous schedule" didn't help me out at all in college applications. So ::), whatever.

'course, if I had gotten straight As in all AP... I would have gotten into better schools. But, whatever!

I took them for the challenge. It helped me a lot to prepare for college, in a way. If I only had college prep classes, I would have been fucked.

I have used The GIMP sigificantly, and I don't have any serious issues.

Although I've also never used Photoshop, so I don't have any preconceived notions about how it ought to work. :)

I hate GIMP too :(

I use Paint.NET in windows for most tasks.  Very rarely do I need anything as complex as Photoshop or GIMP anyway.

I don't think anyone's going to try to argue that the GIMP is better than Photoshop. I do believe, however, that it's possible to do anything that can be done in Photoshop in the GIMP, though it's a more painful process.

But on a side note, I made myself a new avatar. :D
It's too pink.
