Fuck yeah, I got close to the highest grade on my chem exam. So many people did so shitty that she is letting us correct them to, to get up to 15 points of 168 lol, which will give me a 95% :D. I guess failing those few quizzes wont hurt me too much.

They still let you correct tests in college? Heh.

It's basically a more effective way of scaling.  I think it's a good idea, aside from the fact some people will unfairly benefit from collaboration.  It's not a standard practice though -- these things are at the discretion of the professor.

You're a grad student, though, right?  My first semester was definitely the most relaxing semester I've ever had.  I only took 15 credits because the advisor I was assigned for registration wasn't used to seeing people who were excited to learn and she thought that was a hefty load.  I still had enough homework to keep my fairly busy, but now, I have a minimum of 5 hours of hw a day. :(

It's really interesting when drinking coffee doesn't keep you awake in a class

It's really funny when drinking a single cola at 7pm gives me problems sleeping.

Guess that's what happens when you never ever drink caffeine. :)

Minimum isn't very meaningful. :P

I haven't gotten a programming assignment in my AI class yet, but I imagine that's going to be a 20+ hour excursion on its own.

I would have liked to have taken an AI class...
are you using "Pattern Recognition and Machine Learning" by Bishop?

We're using "Artificial Intelligence - A Modern Approach" by Russell.  This is the introductory AI course (i.e. non-graduate level).  I think there's a separate course on machine learning and another couple of AI courses after that.  The last section of the machine learning course did use that book, it looks like.
