Did you try downloading the certificate?  If you can, post a screenshot of what that looks like.

Haha, that would be cool, but I'm doubtful.

some other new problems also which might help a diagnoses:

I no longer automatically connect to the internet (I didn't change this.) I have to choose my wireless network and reenter my password whenever I get on. I also had to relogin to all of my email accounts in Apple Mail.

That looks right, but I can't tell for sure.  It seems like it's probably some sort of network issue rather than a security concern.  I'd still be a bit cautious, though, as I'm sure you already are.

So I was walking down the hallway and there was a big metal case on the side and I decided to take a closer look:

sadly, it was empty.

That's exactly what I was going to suggest.. if your clock is really fast or really slow, all certs will display as invalid.

My computer has now stooped down to the level of a N64.

That's right. I have to BLOW on my power cable to get it to charge.

I can safely say that my next, and subsequent computers will be MacBooks. I'm tired of mediocrity from every other brand.
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

You might be right about that, Joe.
