Big Oil and Bill Gates
« on: November 09, 2005, 10:31:43 am »
I was listening to talk radio today and the host, Barry Young, was talking about the oil companies and the hearing today about the windfall profits.

He said, "I don't hear anyone calling Microsoft into the Senate about this.  Microsof'ts Q3 profits were almost as much as Konoco-Phillips, and I don't hear anyone calling Bill Gates, saying 'Mr. Gates, all the computers in the world, with the exception of a few Apple holdouts and some geeks with pocket pencil protectors, they're all Windows, so we need to see why you're making so much profit.'"

LOL

Haha, that's pretty good.

I wonder why he called it a "pocket pencil protector", though.  The lead on a pencil doesn't seem very threatening.  :)

Haha, but it seems to me that there are more and more people using Apple and even Linux, that I know of.  Maybe it's just because I know more people now, though..

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

nerd.
One must ask oneself: "do I will trolling to become a universal law?" And then when one realizes "yes, I do will it to be such," one feels completely justified.

I'd personally do as Joe suggests

You might be right about that, Joe.
