The answer is probably that it's called a "Male-Male" cable, but just because it has 2 male organs, both of which can fit into a female organ, I disagreee with that being evidence of gayness.

Phone lines in the US use RJ-15, not RJ-47.

It's actually RJ-45, not RJ-47.

Additionally, it depends on what kind of phones you're talking about.  Cisco Avvid IP Phones are phones and they don't use RJ-15.
