Venezuela!
« on: December 21, 2006, 04:02:45 am »
To those who thought I was going on vacation, although I hate to crush your dreams, I'll do it anyhow. I'm staying here.

That said, here's the notes I quickly rounded up for me to toss a powerpoint together from tomorrow morning at school.

Code: [Select]
About Venezuela:

Note: This was written at 2:27AM, while trying to do a project a few hours while it was due. I just wrote this so I could have it handy at school to make into a PowerPoint presentation. If, for some reason, you enjoy this.. enjoy!

Capital city: Caracas
Map: http://www.lonelyplanet.com/mapimages/south_america/venezuela/venezuela.gif
Bibiliography: http://www.lonelyplanet.com/mapshells/south_america/venezuela/venezuela.htm

Population: 25,730,435
Picture: Number in Spanish -- Veinticinco millones, setecientos treinta miles, cuatrocientos treinta y cinco.
Bibiliography: https://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/geos/ve.html

Interesting fact: Venezuela was once part of Greater Columbia, which also contained Panama, Columbia, and Ecuador.

Climate: Big "NO SE" goes here. I didn't find anything on Wikipedia or CIA-WF.

This was a two month research project. I did that in 36 minutes.
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

You might be right about that, Joe.

I don't have a copy of PowerPoint at home, so I had to do this at school (hence posting this), but I finished making the slide show in 41 minutes.

77 minutes for a two month research project. :)

Half-assing projects now isn't going to help you later.

I didn't half-ass it. I did a decent job. It was just an easy project.

I think I already told you, but my teacher tried to get me to study vocab, and when I refused on the basis of already knowing it all, she gave me a 20 question oral quiz which I aced with ease.

Regardless, the amount of research you did was minimal. That is why I consider it half-assed.

And what does this have to do with vocab?

Me knowing so much about vocab shows that I could have afforded to half-ass this, if I wanted to.

And I didn't do minimal research. Everyone else just screwed around.
