Metal enters worship!
« on: January 05, 2007, 05:11:17 pm »
I knew this glorious day would come. Thanks goes to Crazy Dave.

Note 1: This was recorded back on December 6th, but I never got around to uploading it.
Note 2: This is 1:39 of good people music. Hopefully you can stand it, but I accept no responsibility.

http://www.joetheodd.com/davidscreamo.m4a

EDIT -
Don't say that the band sucks, please. I realize that the recording sucks, but it's a combination of the fact that I was using the microphone port (which supplies electricity, oops!) on my old ass laptop hooked to a headphone port on a soundboard which had everything overcranked anyhow, not to mention the only drums you hear is that which is picked up by the singer / piano mics. The lead vocalist / pianist is actually really good (<3).

EDIT -
The lyrics:

Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad;
Let the people of God sing His praise all over the land.
Everyone in the valley, come, and lift your voice;
All those on the mountaintop be glad and shout for joy.

Rise up and praise Him, He deserves our love;
Rise up and praise Him, worship the Holy One.
With all your heart, with all your soul, with all your might,
Rise up and praise Him.

I hear the worship part, but where's the metal part? Acoustic Guitars + Major Chords != Metal.

Don't ever fucking call screamo metal again, or I will hunt you down and you'll become cut, gut, beaten, and eaten.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

lol, I was going to say something to the same effect, though I didn't listen to this.  I went to a screamo show with one of my college friends and I was continually forced to resist punching myself unconscious.  The music is terrible.

Fixed both those words. Joe, stop trying to deliberately pick fights by threatening them to start mis-spelling other words. Guys, stop badgering joe for being a wannabe Canadian.

I don't think "regaurdless" is the correct spelling in any form of English.

I can only guess that favour is proper EN-CA, because favourite is. I know for a fact Saviour is right.

And you're not?  Just because the words are spelled correctly in Canada doesn't mean that you should type them that way.

I think I've done it once or twice. They said nothing.

And you're not?  Just because the words are spelled correctly in Canada doesn't mean that you should type them that way.

At least they're spelled correctly somewhere. In all honesty, I think you're stupid in even caring.

This topic is locked. Another example of how you guys suck at showing decent human behavior, especially rabbit.

EDIT -
rabbit, I'd keep my mouth shut because you don't have any clue where I grew up, but since I'm a nice guy I'll enlighten you to that. I lived in Bremerton WA, close to the US-Canada border, and spent most of my day watching Canadian 'Seseme Street', with part of the show in French. So yes, I was partially raised in Canadian English and as if it matters at all, I should be fully entitled to speak it.

Did I say "not raised on Canadian Seseme Street" or "not raised in Canada"?  O yeah, I remember!  It was "not raised in Canada".  There is a big difference, Joe.  You didn't go to Canadian school and learn Canadian grammar.  You're just a poser, and a bad one at that.

They may be spelled correctly somewhere, but they're spelled incorrectly where it counts: where you are now.  Until you move to Canada, I suggest you use spelling that's correct in America.

Why am I stupid for caring?  Because pointing it out takes away your effort to passively make yourself seem different?  Maybe I'm doing it for your own good.

I don't think correcting spelling should be considered indecent behavior...
