What is the world coming to, and why didn't she learn from her sister? :(
Don't you mean... Why DID she learn from her sister?
Stupid slut must run in the family.
I must ask: who the fuck cares?

I care because she was so cute, just like Britney was. Now she's going to be fat and ugly, just like Britney.
LOL

ROFL!
Mom's parenting book has been delayed, wonder why ::)?
This isn't that serious. The main problem with teenage pregnancy is the fact that the mother and father are almost 99% of the time incapable of funding the growth and living of their child. I highly doubt money is a problem in this situation. Sure, she's still a kid.. old enough to have sex, old enough to raise a child. She'll have to adapt to not living out some of her teenage experiences, but I find a 16 year old in the ghetto getting pregnant a lot worse of a situation then a spoiled rich girl.
Maybe, but she had a lot more going for her than a 16 year old in the ghetto who will probably grow up to be a strain on the system anyway (via welfare, crack dealing, prostitution, whatever.) I also don't agree with the "old enough to have sex, old enough to raise a child." She may be old enough to raise the child, but how effectively? I know that I am not at a point in life (18) where I would be able to effectively raise a child, even though I'm "old enough" to have sex. If she keeps the child, I hope things work out in her favor and she doesn't turn into a parent like her sister.
Gals used to have kids at 16 all the time ... I say let her have kids and make 16 year old marriage/sex legal!
Jamie Lynn speaks out (watch this!)

I SAY, NO MORE FUCKING KIDS. FOR ANYONE < 30.
Sometimes I feel like the majority of young Hollywood needs to be brutally raped and sodomized so they'll never be able to spread their legs again without crying. It would sure do us all a favor.
Damn, I watch too much Law & Order: SVU.
...
That's a horrible thing to say. First off, her pregnancy doesn't really affect any of us except when we hear about it. We wouldn't be "better off" if she weren't pregnant, we'd just have less gossip in our life. It isn't like her pregnancy is physically or emotionally harming us. Secondly, who would ever think that anyone should be brutally raped and sodomized? That's a twisted thing to think. Is the kind of stuff they teach over at LU?

The way I figure it, if I have a kid at 30, I'll be turning 48 or so when (s)he's turning 18. I'd have to be.... hm, figuring on retiring at 62, I'd have to be 44 to have a kid who's 18 when I'm retiring. Nothx.

Eh, to answer the broader question, yes I do think in cases where a person's actions merits extreme punishment, forcible rape and sodomy would be an excellent punishment. I sure as hell wouldn't protest if a politician wanted to make the punishment for child molesters and pedophiles to be raped and sodomized by a wooden plunger.
Now, one might argue that Jamie Lynn Spears The Slut's actions don't merit such extreme punishment, sure I'll agree. After all, my post was meant to be over-dramatic, crude, and vulgar in order to convey the utter disdain and distaste I have for the unclassy young socialites in our society.

My dad retires next year, he's 38 right now. Yesthx.

Yep. Retires next year with enough pay to not have to work. He also got offered a job making roughly ~$115k/yr but denied it because he doesn't feel like traveling after he retires.

At that point, I'd probably want to be in a position where I could "retire", but I couldn't imagine not working. I'm too skittish when I'm not busy.
Solution to 1/2 of nation's deficeit? No more ridiculous pensions? Sweet. Oh wait, never going to happen.

He's retiring from the Navy and getting a job in his hometown with the local electric company. Anywho, like Trust said:

While I don't even begin to agree with what Michael is saying about forms of punishment, I do see how it can have a negative impact on the ethics (happy, iago? :)) of younger people in the eyes of their parents. Many parents are against the idea of their children having sex this young (note: it doesn't bother me). She's in a very public position and she's making some choices that many people would classify as poor. While I care about this about as much as what color of dress Julia Roberts wore to the academy awards, I think it's important to recognize where other people are coming from and at least try to sympathize with them.

now that is taking it a little to far. if you think about, it alot of americans (even minors) do: drugs, have sex, and other shit but they do not deserve to be raped and sit. the only reason you target Hollywood is because everything they do is caught on tape and the media blows things out of proportion. if anything the media people deserve to be sodomized i mean have you seen paparazzi people its frigged ridiculous.

Based on the reactions of several of my older co-workers who have children, regardless of political leanings, I bet it would bother you if you had a daughter and found out she was having sex at 16. :P

Win. The media is full of scumbags, but honest reporting doesn't bring in ratings.

I absolutely would. I think parents in general hold their children up to higher standards than they do of other children.
