Today I (or.. my dad) invested $200 into a new guitar amp, a Peavey Transchorus 210. It's 100 watts.. which is really loud.. and with the reverb it sounds amazing. Thought you ought to know.
Invested huh? So you plan on making money with this thing?
I plan on serenading the whole church with it on Sunday. I could probably take an offering and be like "well since I just rocked your socks off, give me your money", but nah. If I ever record something with my band, though, I'd definitely drag this thing into a studio. It's a budget amp, but I like it's clean tone. Kind of like tube sound, minus the tubes. A lot of reverb.. not really tubish, but whatever.

No, but it can generate things that make loud sounds. :)

100 watts aren't loud when put through a 1/4" speaker. Funny, but not loud.

Real men play shows with their amps stacked to form upside down crosses (http://clubpix.kingsnake.com/data/8248slayer005.jpg).

50 watts each through two 10inch speakers is loud though.
