You have to take a test for a learner's permit?

I had to take a written test for mine. It was basically things like rules of the road, road signs, turn signals, etc.
What dark_drake said. You have to know what red yellow and green mean (warning, caution, go) the turn signals for left right and slow down / stop, the road lines for no passing zone. Basically the stuff you picked up on around age 7.

Oh, haha.
I don't think I had to take on in Colorado. I've had my learner's permit for three years. :D!

LMAO!!! I had mine for a year, drove a total of 8 hours with it (6 of those hours were in Driver's ed), and got my driver's license.
I'm pretty comfortable behind the wheel (shh, I've driven before) so I might drive to my softball game tomorrow night (with my dad, of course *eyeroll*) to commemorate me passing the test. =)
Joe, where do you live?...
OH God! I hope you're not worse than a woman, lord jesus christ
I could be considered living in Wisconsin Dells, Baraboo, Delton, or Reedsburg. All in Wisconsin.
wisconsin, hmm, i dont go that way, I think im safe (enough)

You need your permit validated with a behind-the-wheel before you can legally do that fucker!

In Colorado, you have to have 50 hours of driving time. I'm pretty sure I have that by now, but I don't have the motivation to take the test.
We have to take a test (it's on a computer..but it'd be equivilant to a written test) that deals with signs (you have to get all signs...if you miss one you fail) and rules of the road (speed in residential areas, etc.) Alot of people fail it, I got one wrong (I said you should go 20 in residential instead of 25)
Mine was 50 questions, only needed to get 40 and a valid permit you get.
I took the test earlier this year, but my guy didn't speak English. All he could say were a couple vowels and "D" and "S", so all I got outta him was stuff like "DURR AHH YAHH DAHH SAHHNAHH", which I think was "Turn on your turn signal", but who the hell knows? I woulda passed, but I hit the cones...
Age 15: get permit. have permit 6 months, drive 40 day hrs & 10 night hrs. take & pass driving test @ DMV (go around the block)
Age 15.5: get provisional license. can drive w/only one non-family member, cant drive between 12 & 6 am.
age 16.5: get full license.
thats if you take drivers ed @ school
Oh god. I'm doomed more than any one of you guys, I live in the state right next to joe!

It's 21 in Ireland.
Irish people shouldn't drive at all.
You should die.

Yeah, and if you hopped with a blood alcohol level of 1 or more, you weren't drunk enough and they arrested you for that.
if your BAC was 1 or higher you werent drunk enough?
Isnt 1 like 100% alcohol?
It means your blood is 1% alcohol I believe.
And .4% is enough to kill you. GG.

Fuck you.
Joe, you're not Irish, you're emo.
I'm 25% French and 25% Irish, on my dad's side, and 50% German on my mother's side. My mom's parents were each 100% German, and my dad's dad was 100% French (hence "LaFrance") and my dad's mom was 100% Irish.
ahahaha!
Joe's mom's family killed Joe's dad's family!
........... :-\
that was pretty low, sorry :(
You're an immigrant Nazi supporting annoying retard. NOW it all makes sense.
