Not meaning to bump a topic, but I didn't want to clutter the forum by creating a new one. Is anyone still playing D2? I have some free time now and I would want to start playing again  :-\.

I gave away all my items and deleted my chars when school started.

Warning: Diablo is liable to place massive amounts of one's time into an unproductive oblivion.

In other words, you get addicted to something that does shit for you in life.

edit

Let me tell you a story about what happened to myself playing Diablo ;\
I spent about 2 months playing Diablo II LOD, got a sick sorc, with +10 skills
[for those who are interested: spirit sword, enlightenment armor, spirit shield, frostburn gloves, +3 ammy, ok boots, about to get snowclash belt, and peasants war hat (not very well known because its not like a shako or anything so I'll list: +1 skills +20 energ +20 vitality), and my stats were base energy, base dex, 156 str, and nearly 300 vitality and going!]

Well... to quit my boasting... I suddenly got a lag attack when playing baal runs (what happened to me is it froze, then brought me back to real-time, without causing other people to lag), and what i did during these lag attacks was right-click with teleport on back to a safe place (although I'm not sure if these actions are sent to the server during the lag attack or after, I guess it depends on whether the lag is due to connection or my computer graphics) so that when the lag settled my teleports would have gotten me out of dangers. I still died however, and when I went to pick up body, SPIRIT SHIELD ESTABA NADA MAS (con acento sobre el 'a'). Well, that's not the real order of it, what happened was I picked up body, but there was still some of my body left, yet the minions were swarming over it and there was no one to help me get it, so I left game to retrieve body. When I joined new game, I picked up my body on the ground, and (this time it's the right order) SPIRIT SHIELD ESTABA NADA MAS! I don't know wtf happened. I placed my faith in the belief that, if you have a dead body and retrieve some of it but not all, that the dead body reappears in new games with the items you did not retrieve. In the old days of Diablo, this was not the case, but I believe that it is currently. And it did, but I don't know wtf happened to my spirit shield. Another possibility is that in the confusion of clicks I somehow dropped it, since I was also trying to pick up a helm at the time. But anyways, my spirit shield was my best and rarest item (perhaps rivaled by the enlightenment) and I spent SO much time rune-hunting to come up with a trade worth the spirit shield... So you can see how it was somewhat depressing.

And so I quit. Because Diablo sucks like that. And because Blizzard sucks. These two points I do concur.

To think I wasted 2 months on this game, playing 2 hours a weekday and maybe 3-4 hours per weekend... =\
