Has anyone had any experience in the VPS/dedicated host realm?

I'm in the business for one.  It doesn't need to be extremely fancy (I can probably get by with 0.5 - 1 GB RAM, ~ 1 GHz CPU, ~500GB bandwidth), but shared hosting is becoming less feasible.

Anyone have recommendations?  I've been looking around and keeping a list of what I find, but if anyone has something they've had personal experience with, I'd love to hear about it.

I used to use http://www.ovh.co.uk/products/rps1.xml

Other than I'd have to resell it to you, they're awesome.  (They don't sell to Americans)
And like a fool I believed myself, and thought I was somebody else...

Thanks, Blaze.  I'll definitely keep them in mind.  Looks like a pretty good deal.

These guys are great; I actually had a VPS with them not too long ago before switching to dedicated. The original price is decent as is, but the coupon just makes the deal spectacular.

Get 15% off for life, not just a temporary discount. Plus get 10GB diskspace FREE, 256MB ram FREE, ClientExec FREE, RvSkin FREE, and 50% more bandwidth FREE!

If you are looking for a server in the UK, I think they have a brand over there too.

Wow.  Thanks for sharing the coupon.  I do think this is the best deal I've seen.  Thanks again!!

Hm... after reviewing the providers I found in my research, this seems like a reaalllyy good deal:

$22.00/month (goes down to $19 if you do anual payments) for 2GB RAM, 2 GHz, 30 GB disk, 300 GB bandwidth

They're using Intel Atom's in a server? Or is there a different Atom I don't know about?
Quote from: Camel on June 09, 2009, 04:12:23 PMI'd personally do as Joe suggests

You might be right about that, Joe.

I have previous experience with: slicehost, linode and rackspace. I'm a current linode and rackspace customer. All three I would recommend to anyone. I don't think the stats are as good as the vpsnoc one you mentioned. They're a few bucks cheaper, though. They all have amazing, AMERICAN, customer support.

I'm paying $19/month for VPS NOC.  I'm very pleased with the support, stability, features, etc.  I'd definitely recommend them as well. :)
