I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

I doubt it, they have the resources for R&D and whatever this is will just increase their advertising revenues.  I don't think Google *can* spread itself thin right now.

That being said, like every other Google service (besides searching), I don't intend to use this.  I don't like Google's revenue source (data mining and marketing), so I don't use Gmail or any of their other services.

I said what I didn't like in my last post.

I don't have a big problem with the company, but I want them collecting as few details as possible on me.  I value my privacy.

As iago said, I think these sorts of projects are great for Google.  I doubt they're sitting in their cubicles tweaking the search code day after day.  Once they get the engine to work, it's there.  Sure, there may be a few needed changes that come along, but nothing that they should devote the thousands of man hours they have at their desposal to.  The same thing applies to all of their other projects.  I doubt many of them need constant maintenance.
