Joe

Here's a bit of a timeline of the past 24 hours for those who are interested in how I spent my New Years, most of which was spent in my church.

12/31/06 -- AM

7:30 -- Leave home for church.
8:00 -- Worship band practice (I was doing the slides for the projector)
8:30 -- Sunday school
9:30 -- Church
11:00 -- Church ends
11:30 -- Leave for home

12/31/06 -- PM

12:00 -- Arive home, crash.
6:00 -- Wake up, shower, etc.
7:00 -- Leave for church.
9:00 -- Service starts (the past two hours were spent setting things up)
11:00 -- Service ends
Until 11:55 -- Pigging out, signing up for things, etc.
11:55 -- Countdown begins. Insanity and headaches insue. A friend and I substituted noisemakers for lifeguard whistles, to the displeasure of all.

01/01/07 -- AM

Until 6:00, the following activities took place:

Pigging out.
Playing Guitar Hero II (I didn't take part, but those who did sure had fun).
Rocking out on the drumset!
Sarah and I taking third place in a karaoke duet of You Are My King
Pigging out.
Pigging out.
Losing a game of clue.
Watching Chronicles of Narnia and Cars (from about the point where the tractors farted).
Pigging out.

6:00 -- Party ends. Cleanup starts.
6:45 -- Cleanup ends, but the party is slated to end at 7:00, so it begins for another 15 minutes or so, but much more subdued and clean.

7:00 -- We leave and go home!

Quite a lot of fun. I suppose it sounds kind of lame from reading this, especially in saying that it was in a church, but it was a insane mess of kids (6th through Freshman in college) doing whatever the heck they wanted (within reason). Fun!

To MetaL MilitiA, I only used the name "Sarah" to emphasize that she was a girl. As you notice, in the other case (whistles), I stated "my friend".

You might be right about that, Joe.

...right
Anyway, I love GH/2, and I've always thought they could make an awesome Drum Hero for the Wii.

Also, about "Worship band practice", is that
Worship band-practice
or
Worship-band practice?

Joe

I'm not quite sure what the difference is. Basically, it was the band worship band practicing the songs we were doing during church.

"Worship band-practice" would you paying your holy respects and praying to the act of "band-practice", whereas "worship-band practice" would be a religious band practicing their music.
